DIRECTING MISSION STATEMENT
My approach to directing comes from a strong sense of storytelling and character building I have developed as an actor. I love working to create strong relationships and worlds on stage and I want to harness my experience in acting to coach actors to reach their fullest potential. My goal is to create theatre that pushes and inspires both myself and my audiences. I want to work on pieces that make people leave the theatre feeling challenged and prompted to reflect on themselves and society. I love theatre that is provocative and pushes boundaries to make social and societal statements, especially regarding intersectional feminism, gender roles and constructs, power structures, and social class. I believe theatre should be a communal and cathartic space for all, and I want to build consciously inclusive casts that reflect the world we live in. I want to strive to create memorable theatre that leaves audiences with lingering questions and reflections they will sit with long after the curtains have closed.
